We had the same guide as our first walking tour so lots of information that was interesting but way too much to remember it all.
This is a picture of the current London Bridge. The guide said that the people posted the plans before they started building. American and another countries' engineers told them they would have issues but they built the bridge anyway. Three days after opening it they closed it and hired Americans to fix it with the stuff they use on rocket launch pads so that it would not wobble.
This is what London looked like around Shakespeare's time.
This is one of the oldest pubs
They have an entire museum to exhibit all the old ways people were punished. None of it sounds fun :(
Went to the Globe Theatre to watch Dr Faustus which is a three hour play. It was good but the Globe is a replica of how Shakespeare designed his theatre and has more standing seats than sitting and we were in the standing kind.
The lucky people who had sitting seats
We stood by the ramp which you can kinda see in the background where they went up and down the stage. The group I was with was nice so we had the tallest in the back and shortest in the front. I was glad I wasn't short because the people in the front were "peed on" by one of the actors after being turned into a dog. Reminding me that the front is not always the best place to be.
Shannon and I went strait back after the play because we were beat. We mastered the part of the city we weren't used to right away then walked in a big circle around the part of town we knew.
